December 1, 1967 was the day Neil and Ellie Romano opened for business on Windermere Street in Littleton, Colorado. They began with just three tables and depended largely on carry out pizza. The word spread and the restaurant grew its customer base quickly. The Romano's worked long hours at their little restaurant and expanded to the shop next door, and in the '70s bought the building and expanded again.
Romano's second generation — Sue, John and Nick — got busy working at the restaurant after school and summers, and then in the 2000's all their eight daughters worked the same floors during high school and college.
Ellie, Neil and Nick have since passed away, but they still inspire us every day and we are blessed to carry on their legacy. Nick's daughter, Jordan, is the third generation to make her career at Romano's.
Sue, John and Jordan continue to greet customers with a friendly smile, and we focus on serving you with the same attention to detail and the same quality ingredients that Neil and Ellie's legacy is built on.
Generations of families have come together at Romano's… to eat, drink and laugh together, and to raise a toast to La Dolce Vita — the sweet life we have found here. Salute!
